LIFE STYLES: BAD HABITS AND STYLES
One's habits and life style make him what he is. Good habits and
Good life style make him happy and healthy. Modernization and
Civilization are changing the habits and life style of the humans
in the name of Quality of Life. The progressive and rapid changes
in -working style, earning ways, education, culture, economic
conditions of states, entertainments, communications, family
relations, cost of living, time management etc., changed habits
and life style of the people in developed and developing
countries. People are slowly discarding from religious discipline,
ethics, morals, family and social relationships, love and
affections, etc., and nearing to immoral and unethical earnings,
loss of love and affections, restlessness, stress, addictions to
drugs and stimulants and immoral sex etc. These are all to
increase the so-called quality of life. Racing towards acquiring
the materialistic conditions without happiness is a foolish
business. Any quality of life without happiness and peace, love
and affection among family members and society is not a real one.
Bad habits and stress in life styles are major reasons for many
ailments. Hence, a change in life-style may be all that is
required to produce dramatic benefits in health. It is estimated
that the ailments like heart diseases, cancers, allergy disorders
like asthma, nervous disorders, etc., will increase abnormally in
many countries despite of reduction in the infectious diseases by
2012 and the medical facilities could not meet the demand. About
60 percent of the medical budget of an individual would go to the
ailments caused by his life style only.
In order to maintain good health for longevity the following
things should be observed.
Avoid the habits like smoking, drinking much alcohol, drugs,
eating excess and unwanted foods, sedentary habits, gambling
games, impure sex, laziness and inactivity. Avoid racing with time
for earning more and more, continuous business stress and worries.
Eat balanced diet and live nearer to the Nature. Be affectionate
and spend affectionately with family members and share your
opinions and joy with them. Do relaxation exercises to get free
from stress and monotonous job. Do meditation and develop the
ability of concentration and balanced mind. Avoid sleepless nights
and maintain timings in respect of eating and sleeping. Yoga,
